Why do people think bad of tattoos/piercings, but think plastic surgery is okay? I just want to know why a lot of people speak out against tattoos and piercings, but then they go get boob jobs, nose jobs, go to tanning salons, and do other things that are far more dangerous. I never see any anti-boob job paraphanelia, but there are plenty of people against tattoos. And don't say it's because surgery is safer-- it isn't. And it's all body modification, no matter how you look at it. Just an odd thought. Any ideas?

Plastic surgery gone bad? I had plastic surgery in January, terrible job, scarred for life and now have stitches coming out of scars. I have one that is 8 inches long. Why are people so against plastic surgery? I had plastic surgery in my life, and I'm somewhat happy about it, yet everywhere I go, my family, friends, etc, the large opinion is, ewwwww, you had work done? eww, what's next. Do you want to look like Cher or Michael Jackson? When I show them pictures it's always an ewww or OMG no way, or they find ways to make fun of me. Even though I personally think I look better, and I get random strangers who don't know a thing about me who say that I look absolutely fine and dandy. I don't understand why everyone is so against it. It makes you look better! Or can at least. If it makes you look worse, then whatever you had done, take it out. If it's an implant, take it out. If it's a bad nosejob, well attempt fixing it. Nothing's ever really 100% permanent, even bad plastic surgery. So then , why does our society have such a negative view on it? I mean virtually everyone in Hollywood has it done, and they look fabulous. God forbid average joe gets it. WTF? So it's okay for rich people to get it done, but it's taboo and wrong for the average joe? Also, why is it okay for people to go to the MAC counter, dye their hair, and do all sorts of things, diet/etc, that change their image much more drastically than anything else, yet if they want subtle changes through surgery it's a no no, and what not. I can't tell you the amount of disapproval that I"ve had ever since I decided to go under the knife. "oh it made you look older, oh you look like cher, oh you look more "fake"." It's honestly like what the hell? Do these people even know what they're talking about, or is it only personal biases that are getting thrown out? Jealousy? I don't get it.

I got plastic surgery, and random strangers notice it and comment, "someone had work done." Good or bad? I mean it can go both ways. It can be bad if you look like an obvious case, and it looks bad on you. If you look "plastic" or what not, but if you look good, but just too good to be real, or you know what I mean, if you see some girls walking down with the perfect breasts and the perfect face, you think oh, obvious work done. Two weeks ago I had my cheeks done, and now people seem to pick up on it, but I guess that depends on your personal view of plastic surgery. Since I'm an obvious case, if someone was against that, I guess it would be a bad thing, and i would be repulsive and go against everything they stand for, so they'd probably snicker and laugh at me. If people are FOR it, and like the "look" I guess it could be a good thing. I don't know. I personally am happy with my decision and I like the way it looks but, I didn't know people could just pick up on it just like that. i guess that means it's glaringly obvious. Dont go out of country for plastic surgery...But Im already have bad breast augmentation from a doc on Rodeo!! So, I was checking into thailand, india, etc.....And some people say oh yeah go there its great for the price, and some say NOOO suck up the price youll get hacked. But my thing is, I already got a bad bood job twice, on Rodeo Dr. I payed for a good one! So, I figure, If I can pay less, and get all the things done I want to why not...Now the hard part...Who is the right doc, and where....Becuase when I called India, they quoted me the same price as a US doctor...Now, do you think India or Thailand would appreciate the money more and do a better job, or a Doc here in the US that doesnt give two cents about how you look when you come out of it.

i had plastic surgery 3 years ago and i still have a bad scar .........? i found a doctor who can correct that. I have lived a bit ashame of my tummy. should i go through that again????? I really want my stomach to look good like every other girl.
