Can a 4x6 tattoo on my lower back be realistically be removed by excision?
I talked to a plastic surgeon today in another state who said he could do this. He is board certified and I checked his medical license. My tattoo is not laserable because the metallic ink used throughout oxidizes.

- It sounds rather large for excision. Then again, if he puts a balloon under the skin to expand it, he may get the skin stretched enough to close the sides. Make sure he does that, because if he just cuts it out in small sections, it'll scar badly. Go for a second opinion, just to be safe.
