Is the Hijab a protection from more than sexual leers from men?
I've read many of the questions and time and time again u hear the same thing over and over, that the head covering of the Muslim woman, the hijab, is a protection from the sexual glances or advances of men. This is true, but doesnt God say in the Quran 'it is a protection for u' but a protection from what? everyone seems to focus on what i mentioned above, but have u ever considered that its also another form of protection? a protection from excessive self vanity? u only have to look at the rise in cosmetic surgery to see the pressure women feel to have bigger this or smaller that, or a little change here or there then i'll be more confident! Why? arent u confident that ur inner self along with ur own physical appearance is good enough? the more u take off and expose, the more u expose it to scrutiny and criticism leading to feelings of low self confidence, anorexia need for surgery, etc. Muslim women, practicing their religion with the correct understanding dont have this problem.

- I've never given this much though, but it makes sense. However, there are probably rules governing how and when the hijab is to be worn which would affect how true your assertion is.
- It's a form of control, the name of the religion Islam means and is translated as "submission". women are the lowest life forms, and they must submit to a man. It's a cult. One Big Mind- "Freak".* (the other 4 letter word is forbidden on this site) Muslim men really are savage animals who chop off heads and kill people at will and cannot control their sexual urges when they see a woman uncovered and rape and jump on women whenever they see one uncovered. That's why women wear hijab, it's for their own protection from Muslim men. Women are "portable" property of men, and cannot be in public unescorted by a family member, because if another man sees their Property, they might want to steal it. So they don't want women walking out uncovered, that's why women wear Hijab. The religion is called "Submission". Understand that, and you understand everything you need to know.
- I is a form of modesty which is a virtue of muslim women.we are not to put ourselfs on public display, our outter beauty is for our husbands alone.this also helps us stay strong and helps keep satan from putting sexual thoughts into the hearts of men
