How much do you spend on cosmetics? And do you really use them properly?

- I am a crossdresser, so I spend maybe $100 a year. I do know how to use them properly. I love Mary Kay ladies, they will spend time with me and help. I also love the young ladies at the department store make up counters. They have helped me out. Dermablend is the best I have found for beard cover. And I love Dior foundation.
- I agree with Jayma in regards to Mary Kay. Great products, seem to be a bit expensive but if used properly/sparingly they last and work great. Never cause a break out or any problems with my skin. Always wash my hands thoroughly before touching any product. My daughter sells the stuff so I spend maybe 100$ a year also.
- I used to spend on branded cosmetics like Lancome, Estee Lauder, etc. Now I buy them from pharmacies or the supermarket. About $100 per year.
- Minimal, I only use face powder & blush and a compact last for about 2-3 months
- I don't use make-up. Save for the $1.99 tube of Blistex when I occasionally have chapped lips, I spend nothing. I believe make-up is a complete waste. If you don't like me for who I am and the natural beauty I was born with, don't look at me. I'm not going to paint myself up like a clown or peacock to impress you. (And by "you", I don't mean you specifically--I mean people in general.)
- Doesn't everyone who uses them think they use them properly?
- I wear makeup and have been asked before if I'm wearing it. To me, that's a compliment. If people can't tell I'm wearing it, then I'm using it correctly. As for the amount I spend, I have no idea. Not a whole lot. I buy new mascara/foundation/powder maybe every six weeks. Blush and eye shadows last a lot longer. I do not wear lipstick at all. So I'd definitely say less than $100 a year.
