why do young models in competitions all look alike?
they all have long hair, all look like they have had cosmetic surgery or enhancements done, all are nearly the same size and shape. There seems to be no difference between their looks one to the other. If men are attracted to these women, would it be safe to say they would choose "any" of those models and it wouldn't make a difference to that male which one they chose for dating, since men are attracted to looks and are into physical appearance? I mean like wouldn't a man have chemistry with all of the models? And why do all young women want to look alike?

- Probably the look the agents want them on the catwalk Stylists will have done all that with extensions etc..
- That's because they're not original. I prefer models that are unique and stands out, it doesn't really matter what her size is, or her hair, or her face, I just like a model that's healthy and glowy and original.
- Models are chosen by the fashion designers to make their clothes look good. Keep in mind alot of the fashion designers are gay men and are attracted to the young boyish look which is the same as a model who is 5'9" and 100 lbs. Straight up, straight down.
- They been cloned!!!
- Why do all babies look the same?! Remember that most models have 'typical' bodies. This means that if all of them come on stage with a lamp shade on their head...they will all look like clones! Models in a single fashion show may look the same because they usually have a particular theme or 'look' for that show. Usually the makeup and stylist are the same for this bunch of models. To create uniformity they choose a typical height. This similarity is to avoid confusion to the eye (the same dress may look less appealing on a leaner or taller or fatter person). Another reason why most ready-mades are of a typical size! They are mass manufactured to fit in typical people who are 'expected' to be in a typical frame. To have typical and simple looks is necessary since the eye is most attracted to typical and simple objects (the reason why Mickey mouse is more attractive to look at than say, Popeye!). As far as dating and sexual selection is concerned, people have different 'tastes' and select based on that (not all men are artists! Even artists have different concepts of beauty - like the 'manly' women of Michelangelo and the 'fat' women of Reuben!!)
- I don't think men find models as the pinnacle of beauty. If you look at mens polls for the "world's hottest women", such as Maxim, Askmen.com, etc., fashion models rarely appear on those lists. You may see a few "super" models, such as Gisele or Heidi Klum, but those lists tend to be dominated by celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Fergie, and Scarlett Johansson, who ae gorgeous, but don't really fit the model "mold". Most young women imitate the celebrity look rather than the model look.
