Why is plastic surgery bad?
Public Comments
- Because u can get cancer from it.
- I don't think that it is. But, I think a lot of people do it for the wrong reasons, so that is bad.
- It isn't bad necessarily. If someone feels getting some "work done" will improve their self esteem then so be it. If I had the money I would get lipo and a boob lift.
- I never had plastic surgery before, but I think it is bad. Plastic surgery, to me, makes you less human. You don't like how you are so you have change yourself into this fake image just to please others. Plastic surgery is for people who can't face reality that they will gain weight or eventually age. Those people make me sick. They just need to start exercising and just age with grace
- Why does a thing have to be good or bad? In my opinion plastic surgery is simply plastic surgery, it is not good or bad. If a person has an accident and can be helped by reconstructive surgery I am all for it. On the other hand, if it is for vanity purposes I won't be involved. All surgery carries with it a degree of risk. A reaction to anesthetic, infection, and problems arising during recovery such as pneumonia to name a few. I can't imagine myself undergoing general anesthetic in order to have my nosed reshaped. I just can't see it. And for breast augmentation, or some other invasion to the body, I just can't understand why anyone would do it.
- Plastic surgery is not bad. What's bad is the doctors that keep performing numerous surgeries on women that they know have mental and emotional issues. What's bad is the women who want to be perfect and don't get psychological help to keep them from mortgaging theirs and their mothers' homes to pay for it. With that said, can't wait to get my tummy tuck in '07!
