  1. Surgery for purely cosmetic reasons nobody will cover. Things that aren't usual in people, like a cleft palate or something that needs to be reconstructed to bring you back to your normal self (say you lost a finger, or went through breast cancer and needed an implant) insurance companies will cover it. With certain surgeries you can get lucky. My friend went in to get her nose done, turns out she could only breathe out of one nostril (deviated septum) and had 2 breaks, so her insurance paid for it. You might (slight chance) be able to argue for the tummy tuck if you had kids, but no way is anybody going to pay for a butt augmentation. Your best bet is to: - put it on credit - find a sugar daddy lol - find a hospital that will let you pay in chunks good luck
  2. nope you can try and get loans and stuff i guess or youre dr. might have a payment plan the only cosmetic surgery thats covered (partially) is some dental
  3. Usually not. Insurance will usually only cover "cosmetic" procedures if they are part of reconstructive surgery. For instance, if you have had a mastectomy, insurance will cover breast reconstruction (ie: implants.) My advice would be to wait until you are in a better place financially before getting these procedures done.
  4. cosmetic surgery is not covered by any medical insurance, but you can save a lot if you avail of a medical tourism package - cosmetic surgery+air fare+vacation+shopping all included - than having the procedures done in the US.. with all the amenities in one package, you can still save 50% from the cost of a US medical procedure alone! and to save even more, might as well undergo 2 or more medical procedures.. more info here -
  5. I had a tummy tuck and lipo done 3 1/2 years ago. It was not covered by my insurance, I saved for a long time until I could afford it. It is the best thing I ever did for myself and I love the results. I know that there are some doctors who do financing. I was reading some of the other answers and I saw where some recommended that you go out of the country, while I didn't do that and don't know anyone who has, I would not recommend it personally. I had my surgery done at a surgery center and everything went fine. However, while I was in the recovery area, my vocal cords spasmed and shut off my airway. I was rush by ambulance to the nearest large hospital and met at the ER by a cardiologist, a pulmonolgist and numerous other doctors. I woke up later that evening on a respirator in ICU. While this was a freak 1 in a million situation, and I had previous surgeries and have had surgery since with no complications, I would of really panicked it this had happened to me out of the country. I would strongly recommend that you do this in the US, by someone that you have researched. This is major surgery even if it is not covered by insurance, spend your $ wisely. Good luck. Again this is the best thing I ever did for myself, and complications aside I would do it again.
