Center Cosmetic Surgery

i want to know what the right career choice is for someone looking to go into costmetic surgery?

I am a student at a community college ready to obtain my Associates Degree. Not till recently did I decide what I wanted to with my life, career wise. Bottom line is that I want to give people botox, laser treatments, face lifts, chemical peels and be the one who is performing the procedures. I've looked at sites after sites, some saying you can just be an RN and work at a cosmetic surgery office, or people that say you should become a Physician Assistant. What is the best, and most saught after degree/education that doctor's offices are looking for? I really would love to be a dermatologist or dermasurgeon, but I am so not going to want to go to school for 12 years for that. some one help! i don't know what the best path is to get to where I want! thanks!

  1. I guess that being an OR nurse in cosmetic surgery is your best shot. You have to go to training for 11 years or more to become a plastic/cosmetic surgeon. To be a dermatologist, it takes about 12 years. But for you, it might take 14 years since you have to get your Bachelor's degree if you decide to go through with med school, internship and reisdency. to be a nurse you have to go to nursing school.
