18yr old with thread/spider veins all over legs?
ive already asked about what is best to do about this and got some great answers but i would really like to know if anybody has had a laser treatment and how much it costs. i have got brochures from several cosmetic surgery companies but the prices arent included. im aware that severals sessions are needed but was wondering if anybody could tell me how much it cost from their experience and if they were cleared 100% as this is really getting me down thankyou in advance i just thought i would say they became much more prominent when i started taking the compined pill diannete. it could be pure coincidence however i thought i would mention. i will also definately get them checked out by the doctor before treatment to see if there is an underlying cause but will still want to get rid of the ones i have now as they are very unsightly

- you will never clear it hun...its mainly to do with circulation and the way your body is etc....dont waste your money they will come back
- It is due to many factors including circulation, weight, genetics and physical activity. I would check out schelotherapy injections before laser, which costs several hundred a visit. ($1000 or so total) You have to wear support hose for a week or two after the injections but I have seen coworkers with perfect legs afterwards.
- Are the lines very thin and fairly light? Spider veins are caused by por circulation. Before you jump to laser treatment, which is often expensive, try some other remedies. First, don't cross your legs. At most, cross your ankles. Crossing your legs is horrible, it cuts off circulation, and the veins bulge as blood flows down into them, but cannot be romoved as quickly. Also, if diabetes runs in your family, get checked, as that may be a source. you may want to get checked even if it's not in your family, especially if you have foot problems or are overweight. If you are female and have chronic pelvis pain, vericose veins can be an unusual symptom. See your gyno. Cold showers or compresses are known to help reduce the appearance of spider veins. Also try to not stand or sit in the same position for long periods of time, and strengthen your calf and thigh muscles. When reading or watching tv, elevate your legs with pillows or a foot rest. Also jumping rope is known to help. Another thing that is known to help is massage. Use a deep-penetrating, relaxing cream, perhaps a foot cream, and massage your legs in and upward motion, squeezing gently. This will help to force the blood out of the legs, though it may take a few weeks to see a difference. If none of this works, some physician's offices have been being trained in electrolysis machines, which are safer ans cheaper than laser. Look for one near you. Good Luck!
- Cosmetic surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America. Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star. http://www.tour2india4health.com Hope this helps.
