What is the starting average salary of a new Plastic Surgeon? *any other additional information will be great! as well as very informative*. Thanks for the help!.

  1. why would you want to do that its descusting go get a coller freakin job
  2. 3-4 years college 3-4 years med school 3-5 years general surgery training 2-3 years plastic surgery training These are minimums for American board of plastic surgery Don't know salary. Most go into private practice and are not hired.
  3. well I answered your other question. Here's some more Time factors--- you will work 80+ hrs during residency and beyond. Subspecialities-- I know of breast reconstruction, burns, congenital, hand, facial you would take fellowships/additional training in a subspeciality after residency (so after the 6-8 yrs for residency). Some of these subs are not accredited so you won't earn any additional diploma or anything after completion. Starting salary...not sure-- $300K? you'll earn 40-60K during residency check out www.studentdoctor.com
