plastic surgery?

i was watching a program about two women trying to talk two people out of haveing plastic surgery last night if any one watched it i think the young girl (who was very pretty) needed a good shake.

5. You really have no idea what it feels like to hate your body so much that you will go to any exttreme to change it. These people should be pitied . They need this surgery to gain there confidence back in themselves. Nobody on this earth can alter the way these people feel . I have suffered with body dismorphic disorder for most of my adult life and have been to all kinds of councelling. Nothing works. What you see in the mirror is not necessary what everyone else sees. Give them your sympathy
6. I am against plastic surgery for vanity reasons. I do believe it should be used for bad disfiguration only. Why do people want to look like a celebrity, when they could look unique and individual as the way they were born! I am not a size 12, with a perfect nose and chin but I am ME. Most people think if they have surgery it will enhance their life, well no as the mental scars do not heal and what if it goes wrong.... what a waste of money. I was an anorexic and to be honest I am happy over weight than I ever was under weight. I do not own a full lenght mirror and to tell the truth I am not 100% sure of my true 3D shape. But I would never go under the knife for love or money.
7. hi, i don't agree, i don't think its about what people think when they look at you, quote me if I'm wrong but its about how you feel inside. I'm booked in for breast surgery and you may call me silly but id rather have a Lil confidence after having it done than to lose my marriage through being so unhappy. As a person going through it ill gI've you a few ideas of what its like. a/ I sleep with a jumper on b/ ive not had intercourse with my husband since my daughter was born and it was not frequent before having her c/ i don't go swimming, sunbathing etc when on holiday or in my back garden d/ most people have hang ups about their bodies mostly people call themselves fat, i sit in front of the mirror and sob because I'm not happy with the size of my boobs. e/ i don't bath if my husband is at home (he works nights) for fear he might come in the bathroom and see me. you may say alot of people feel like this but get on with it without surgery but i feel its a choice only the individual can make, and its not about prettiness cuz I've been told I'm pretty but it don't make my boobs grow.lol
8. i didn't watch the program but i don't think plastic surgery should be available to people just because they are vain but should be used for people with bad burns scars and such like
9. I think if you are thinking about plastic surgery then it's pretty deep in your mind already so to be talked out of it is a bit lame. I wonder how far down the line they will regret not having it done??
