Board certified cosmetic surgeon or board certified plastic surgeon, which is preferred?
Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery of Southfield, Michigan claims Dr. Rifai is a board certified COSMETIC surgeon but he is not listed as such with the Michigan board.

- LEGALLY THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "COSMETIC" SURGEON. A PHYSICIAN MAY BE LEGALLY LISTED AS A PLASTIC SURGEON, IN WHICH HIS SURGERY WOULD BE COSMETIC IN NATURE AND BE BACKED UP BY A BOARD OF CERTIFICATION AS A PLASTIC SURGEON.
