  1. I don't think you need plastic surgery to remove freckles but comsmetic surgery may do the trick........they will usually used dicises or skin peels to remove unwanted freckles.hope that helps
  2. well my friend sydney had a ton of freckles and she went into the dermatologist and had laser surgery and they're all gone now! im pretty sure that peels work too, but they're not as permanent. The one sucky thing about laser though is that you may have to go in more than once to get them to disappear completely. As far as scarring goes, sydney's skin is as perfect as ever!
  3. I am sorry I have not yet had surgery but last Friday I went into a surgery for a consult on my freckles and this week I am having a chemical TCA peel. This will cost me $380 will be quite deep and will make my skin be sunburnt for 2 days, peel for 2 days, then fall off over the next 2 days (needless to say I am not going to work for the week). This will result in a loss of fine lines and a improvement in my freckles. It will only take off the superfical freckles and make the deep ones look better but not remove them. TCA peels do have consequences, if you pick at your skin it will scar and if it is not done properly by a surgeon you could have all sorts of skin burnt issues. They then recommended two weeks after the peel I take hydroquinone and vitamin A at night and vitamin C in the morning, making sure to wash off the vitamin A in the morning and wear sunscreen. I am to continue this indefinately and take out the hydroquinone I guess when happy with the freckle fading effects. Hydroquinone gets rid of excess melanin. For permanent removal they suggested IPL though this a little out of my budget. There are no major bad consequences they expressed of IPL but it is costly. $1200 each area basically and I have face, arms and back. So I am still undecided if I will have that. Hope this info helps.
