Does anyone know how good Thai plastic surgeons are?
I'm thinking about having a face lift in Thailand, which is a third the cost of one in Australia. Does anyone have any horror stories?Alternatively, does anyone have any glowing reports?

- 1st and foremost with the turmoil there I would be skeptical..second if your looks are that important to you then you value your face..So why go to a DR. take a chance and if they screw it up you have no recourse..If the Dr's in that country were that good your question would have been answered quicker than this...go to canada, england where the medical profession is monitored for safety, mal-practice...it is cheaper there than in the US. If you insist on saving money which should be the least of your worries think about other english speaking countries. Remember not all surgeries can be fixed so make sure you go to the right DR. first and get exactly what you want..repairs will end up costing double what you think..Good Luck.
- A few of Thai plastic surgeons received training in the US. The medical tourism is becoming a big business. If you are certain and serious about having one, please do good research. There are always potential complications. Picking the right one for you is of course very important. Try to get good references. It is a good idea to talk to or contact Medical Schools there to see whether the doctor is affiliated to a reputable teaching Hospital to add another check (even though not a guarantee). A lot of clinics have very nice set up. I don't see any problems having a surgery done there with the right doctor. Good luck (Choke Dee)
