You’re very kind to take the time and give it the thought that you did. Although I tried to make the questions morally neutral, I seem to have caused some animosity. Just to clarify, I am a rabid feminist and I hate the suffering and abuse of women and children at the hands of their intimate partners. I hate it. The numbers are staggering worldwide and it has been so throughout recorded history. It appears from your answers that you are among the majority of women who are not hell bent to have a man. But, to some women, any man is better than none. Those women and their children are at risk for abuse. Again, thank you for your time and consideration. I'm sorry, but I refuse to take your quiz. I think this is a totally inappropriate forum for such questioning and from your initial question, you seem to believe that a women cannot survive without a man. Wrong.

First off, let me say that I like the phrasing of your original question. Some of the younger folks may not have heard the 2nd-wave feminist phrase, "A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle," which was intended to convey the then-radical (probably still-radical) notion that a man is unnecessary/irrelevent to any woman's happiness. So...that much having been said. I can tell you my age and country of origin. But there is no way that I know of to register with Yahoo Answers without at least having a Yahoo ID. Some people choose to disclose a lot about themselves (whether it's true or not), some disclose nothing whatsoever (they're often the spammers or the "playahs"), and some people disclose a lot of TRUE info--and I happen to be one of the latter. So I'm not "anonymous" on Yahoo. I'm 54 and from the USA. 1-1 2-1 3-No. However, I used to when I was in my 20s. 4-Yes. I had a little bit of lipo done on my (former) double chin over 10 years ago. I'm STILL very happy with the results, even though middle age is starting to bring on a bit of a "turkey wattle" on my neck. It made a huge improvement in my looks, was not very painful, was not terribly expensive, and was done with local anaesthesia in the dermatologist's office. 5-YES! I am totally convinced that dieting MAKES YOU FAT IN THE LONG RUN and that if I'd never dieted that I'd weigh 50-60 pounds less today. I have not dieted in almost 20 years, I eat all I want, and I don't gain weight any longer. However, my weight stabilized at a VERY HIGH LEVEL. I just decided to live with being obese and to never, ever diet again. 6-No. But then I used to want to have sex a lot when I was younger, so I rarely said, "No." Is it possible that some of the guys I slept with might nave been rapists under other circumstances? I don't like to think about that, but it's a possibility. When you have a lot of casual sex, you don't necessarily know all of your partners terribly well. 7-I have never been pregnant. But if I HAD gotten pregnant, I would have done everything in my power to have obtained an abortion. I was fortunate, in that doctors were still willing to sterilize people who hadn't had any children back when I got it done at the age of 21. That's probably a large part of the reason why I didn't have to go through the horror of having a contraceptive failure and having to deal with its aftermath. 8-I don't have a man. Some of the guys I've been with in the past have done that. Obviously, I'm not still associating with them now. 9-I don't have a man. But one did backhand me across the face once. Another one picked me up (and I weighed more than him, too!) and slammed me against a wall once. Another one verbally threatened me and my immediate family, and I am convinced that he was capable of extreme physical violence and had assaulted people in his past. I've since learned to avoid substance abusers and/or angry jerks. And I've learned to be a LOT more-discriminating about the sorts of people with whom I choose to associate. Being that way has required becoming a lot less-liberal and a lot more judgmental and intolerant than I'd been in my youth. 10-That's hardly relevent in my case. Is it "cheating" if you're in an "open relationship"? Let's just say that I've had many relationships where we both "slept around." 11-No.
